To make an official attempt for any of these Guinness records, the hopeful record breaker must contact Guinness and send in a preliminary application. Guinness will reply with the current record and a complete set of official rules and requirements to have the record made official. Visit the Guinness website if you are going to make a record attempt.
Rules for the Longest Whip Cracked: The Whip must be measured before it is cracked, the length does not include the handle (but can include the cracker) and a witness who is at least 10 m away from the cracker must hear an audible crack.
Rules for Most bullwhip cracks in 60seconds: Requires a 6 ft bullwhip with at least a 12" handle and a 30" fall. The diameter of the handle must be between 7/8" and 1 1/8". Only one-handed volley cracks are counted towards the total.
This record was previously held by Andrew Thomas from the AWPA.
Rules for the Most stockwhip cracks in 60seconds: The stockwhip handle has to be at least 19", the thong between 4' 6" and 6', and the fall at least 27". Only single-handed volley cracks count towards the total.
Fastest time to cut 10 targets consecutively with cracking a whip.
